On behalf of the Maricopa Workforce Connections (MWC) Board, I am pleased to welcome both employers and job seekers to the MWC Website.
The MWC Board is committed to:
- Regional partnerships with all interested workforce services providers to maximize limited resources for the benefits of both employers and job seekers;
- Playing a strategic role in regional economic development by strengthening the quality of the workforce through training;
- Leveraging regional economic competitiveness and stability by meeting employers' needs for talented and skilled personnel, and
- Improving the regional quality of life by enhancing the employment skills of youth, adults and displaced workers.
As Chair for Maricopa Workforce Connections Board I will pool the resources of other board members to strengthen the force behind MWC's priorities. The first of which is to focus on assisting job seekers in expanding their skills and knowledge base to be better prepared to compete for the positions these industries will bring to the valley. Simultaneously MWC will, in partnership with the economic development community, attract growth industries such as solar, renewable energy companies other key industry to Maricopa County.
